Kimberly Houk was born in Houston, Texas, but she was raised in the rocky mountains of Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in broadcast communications and international politics. Kimberly worked as a television news reporter/anchor. She learned early on in her career that she has a passion and a talent for telling people's stories in memorable ways. She loves meeting people and finding out what makes them interesting.
Kimberly began her career as a television news reporter in Peoria, Ill., before returning home to work for KSL-TV in Salt Lake City. It was there she won a Society of Professional Journalists award for her breaking news coverage on the day investigators found the body of Lori Hacking in the Salt Lake Valley landfill.
Kimberly soon moved on to Baltimore where she covered, among many things, the steroids in baseball scandal as lawmakers were addressing it for the first time in legislative meetings on Capitol Hill. As a news reporter in Orlando, Florida, she spent time covering the arrest and investigation into alleged child killer Casey Anthony, before returning home to Salt Lake City to continue her career in broadcast news.
Kimberly loves reading, traveling, working out, and skiing down Utah's beautiful slopes.
